Benalmádena brings together several distinct experiences on the Costa del Sol, from a coastal resort and busy marina to the older village inland. That variety is useful if you want more than one kind of day, but it also makes the accommodation map important. Decide which setting appeals most before choosing a hotel simply because it carries the destination name.
Parque de la Paloma provides a green break from the seafront, with paths and landscaped spaces suited to a slower outing. Benalmádena Pueblo offers a different scale and character, with traditional streets inland from the coastal resort. Puerto Marina is the waterside counterpoint, mixing distinctive buildings, boats and places to eat. These three stops are not interchangeable neighbourhoods: plan the journey between them and give each enough time to enjoy the atmosphere rather than treating the whole destination as one short walk.
