Ios Chora gathers whitewashed houses, churches and narrow streets on a hillside above the port. Give it time for a walk before deciding where to spend the evening. Mylopotas Beach offers a contrasting setting with a broad sandy bay and established holiday facilities.
Manganari Beach takes you further afield for another coastal landscape and needs its own transport plan. These stops should help you compare the island's different routines rather than become a checklist to complete at speed. A slower town visit and a full beach day often reveal more than repeated transfers.
How to enjoy your time here
