Playa de las Américas is one of Tenerife’s established southern holiday areas, with beaches and a substantial entertainment scene close at hand. It can suit a lively break, but individual streets and hotels differ considerably. Choose the part of the resort that matches your evenings as carefully as the beach you want to use during the day.
Playa de Troya provides a central beach setting within the wider resort experience. Playa del Camisón offers a contrasting stretch farther along the coast, making it worth considering when choosing which area to stay in.
The Las Américas seafront connects much of the holiday atmosphere, with walks, restaurants and changing views along the water. Explore one section at a time rather than assuming the whole waterfront is a short stroll. A simple outing along the coast can be enough to give a relaxed day some shape.
How to enjoy your time here
Read recent location and noise comments before choosing accommodation. Check how far your hotel is from the exact beach and evening area you plan to use, including the route home. Give any island excursion its own day. Keeping the rest of the stay loosely scheduled leaves room for beach conditions, meals out and the holiday pace you prefer.
